The parent company of Chicago's public radio station, WBEZ, is exploring a merger with one of the city's beleaguered newspapers, the Sun-Times. One thing that is interesting in the Verge piece is the statement that 'audio is a growth industry' by Jim Friedlich, chief executive of The Lenfest Institute for Journalism.
