Platform News Roundup: Death of Stories on LinkedIn; Press Gazette Does Deep Dive on Substack and Patreon and Twitter Rolls Out Subscription Services

There are days when the news seems to follow a theme, and today was one of those days with stories about LinkedIn, Substack, Patreon, OnlyFans, Twitter and Facebook. And this is about social media, certainly, but it's also about the creator economy (which has some serious overlap with the older freelance economy but also is different than than that work). One thing that stands out is how the creator economy works for some but that it might be difficult eking out a living wage on the longer end of the tail.
